Website ranks city twelfth safest in U.S.

Your chances of being the victim of a crime in Glen Cove are less than in most other cities in the country, according to a recent report.

The website NeighborhoodScout released its list of the Top 100 Safest Cities in the U.S. for cities with populations of more than 25,000 people. Glen Cove ranked 12, one spot higher than Greenwich, Conn. and one behind Sammamish, Wash.

'PLAY DOWNTOWN' WITH THE DOWNTOWN PLAYBOOK THIS HOLIDAY SEASON!

The Downtown Business Improvement District's Downtown Playbook is back for another holiday season! Pick up a copy at the Holiday Spirit Festival on November 26th, the BID offices at 30A Glen St., #200- (upstairs from Glen Floors), or downtown merchants and receive discounts just for Playbook holders! Visit participating merchants and receive a stamp; shop through December 31st, and return the playbook (and contact information) to the BID offices by January 15, 2017- the Playbook is your entry for a $500 prize drawing!
