HOWL'OWEEN PET PARADE OCTOBER 26TH

The City of Glen Cove Parks & Recreation Department, in partnership with PETCO of Glen Cove and Scoopy Doo Dog & Geese Waste Removal, is pleased to invite pets and their human companions to the 4th annual Spooktacular Howl’oween Pet Parade on Sunday, Oct. 26 at noon in downtown Glen Cove.

Pets of all species, shapes and sizes are welcome; costumes are optional! The undertaking will begin at Pulaski and Glen Streets with the final resting place in Village Square. All participants will be judged and...

Parade kickoff is 1 PM.
After the parade, participants may trick-or-treat at downtown merchants displaying the BID poster. After the parade, in Village Square: 
The Maniac Pumpkin Carvers will be appearing.
The Fun Bus will be in Village...

 

QuickBooks Basics- October 2014 

 
The Stony Brook Small Business Development Center is offering QuickBooks Basics.

A certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor will teach you basic uses and features of QuickBooks including: setting up, working with QuickBooks lists and bank accounts, entering sales, invoices and receiving payments, creating reports, graphs and analyzing financial data in a computer lab setting.  This is for Windows based computers - not MAC.

Glen Cove Rated One of Nation's Safest Cities

Website ranks city twelfth safest in U.S.

Your chances of being the victim of a crime in Glen Cove are less than in most other cities in the country, according to a recent report.

The website NeighborhoodScout released its list of the Top 100 Safest Cities in the U.S. for cities with populations of more than 25,000 people. Glen Cove ranked 12, one spot higher than Greenwich, Conn. and one behind Sammamish, Wash.

There will be a Costume Contest, a Pie Eating Contest and a Pie Bake Off.

Registration is required; forms are available below, or by contacting the Downtown BID offices.
The parade is intended for ages 12 and under, costumes are encouraged, (adults can dress up, too).
The Regency at Glen Cove, 94 School St., is sponsoring a ‘Spooky Story Hour’ starting at 12 Noon.

The City of Glen Cove Parks & Recreation Department, in partnership with PETCO of Glen Cove and Scoopy Doo Dog & Geese Waste Removal, is pleased to invite pets and their human companions to the 4th annual Spooktacular Howl’oween Pet Parade on Sunday, Oct. 26 at noon in downtown Glen Cove.

Pets of all species, shapes and sizes are welcome; costumes are optional! The undertaking will begin at Pulaski and Glen Streets with the final resting place in Village Square. All participants will be judged and eligible for awards in six categories which include “Best Pet/Owner Costume,” “Smallest Pet,” “Largest Pet,” and more.

Pets are urged to bring their human companions to the rear entrance of Glen Cove City Hall starting at 11:00 a.m. to register. Participants can also register in advance by downloading a registration form at www.glencove-li.us. There will be goodie bags and participation prizes for all. Vendors will be on hand with giveaways and items for sale. Refreshments will also be available. Dog owners will have an opportunity to register their four-legged friends for New York State licenses during the event as well.
