Nikki Torres performs the music of Gloria Estefan & Miami Sound Machine in this vibrant, explosive, exciting eruption of music & talent. This show is for everyone who feels the rhythm and wants to take part in the sights and sounds of the music that made us all get on our feet. This production is comprised of the very best musicians, singers and dancers, who extend themselves far beyond the stage to lift the spirits and voice of the audience long after the last bow.

Right On Band

July 13th

Right On Band is an authentic “Ten-Piece Show Band” with a full horn section. They have performed all over the world including: Italy, Ethiopia, Canada, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and the Bahamas.

They have had the honor of performing for each of the last three United States Presidents, and also entertained the US Congress inside “The White House”, as well as other celebrities, dignitaries and heads of state around the world. The Right On Band is known for their outlandish ’70s costumes. 

Specializing in Motown, Disco, and ‘70s Funk, the band has been keeping the ‘70s alive for more than 18 years.

Forever Ray

July 20th

 Forever Ray performs to sell-out audiences whenever they perform. The band is based in the New York Metropolitan area. They perform the exciting and uplifting music of Ray Charles with Shulton Whitley as the sound of "Ray".

Ray Charles, an American musician was a pioneer in the genre of soul music during the 1950s by fusing rhythm and blues, gospel and blues. He also helped racially integrate country and pop music during the 1960s with his crossover success. Frank Sinatra called Ray Charles “the only true genius in show business.”
Forever Ray was formed in 2006 when Whitley was asked by the late Nick Ashford, part of the Hall of fame Songwriting team Ashford and Simpson to showcase at their NYC club.
Members of Forever Ray have performed with Ray Charles, Alicia Keys, Rod Stewart, Levon Helm, Christina Aguilera, Michael McDonald, Stevie Wonder, Kelly Clarkson, Patti LaBelle, the Harlem Gospel Choir, Frank Sinatra, Lionel Hampton, Tito Puente, The O' Jays, Donna Summers, Frankie Valli, The Temptations and the Four Tops!

Strawberry Fields

July 27th

"Strawberry Fields" is here, a look-alike, sound-alike Beatles tribute, dedicated to bringing you, the audience, as close to a real Beatles concert as you can get. The band features true look-alike performers, handpicked from hundreds of auditionees, who speak in Liverpudlian accents and play on the vintage musical instruments that Beatles fans have come to recognize. "Strawberry Fields" has been performing to audiences of all ages for over a decade and in the past has shared the stage with featured guests from the Broadway cast of "Beatlemania;" Steve Holly, drummer for Paul McCartney who was featured on his second solo album, "Back To The Egg;" Billy J. Kramer (one of Brian Epstein's original British Invasion stars); Tony Sheridan, who recorded an entire album with The Beatles, themselves; and Pete Best, who (in case you've been living under a rock for all these years) was, early in their careers, the drummer of The Beatles! They have most recently performed an exclusive engagement for "EMI" at "Ruby Foo's" in NYC, not to mention their 2005, one-time-only 40th anniversary recreation of The Beatles' historic 1965 concert at Shea Stadium… Shea Stadium! Wow!!!

Marvin Floyd

August 3rd

 Renowned keyboardist, composer and producer Marvin Floyd has performed numerous times in the history of Downtown Sounds and his shows are always high-energy events with multiple musical genres featured. he founded Nivram Productions, a recording studio in Glen Cove. Producing at his own studio allowed Floyd to further develop his musical skills and he also benefitted from performing with musical legends like The O'Jays, Lou Rawls and Aretha Franklin. In 2003, he won CD101.9's New Artists Showcase and in recent years has served as the musical director for Hip Hop Princess Ashanti. He also joined Ashanti for a recent world tour.

Richie Cannata

August 17th

Richie worked with Billy Joel, Celine Dion, Jennifer Lopez, the Beach Boys, Bernie Williams and the list goes on.  This New Yorker, born and raised in Brooklyn and  Long Island and has music in his blood.  Richie studied classical piano growing up, but it doesn’t stop there.  He also studied the clarinet, flute, keyboards, and saxophone with the tenor saxophone being his forte.

Milagro was formed in 2005 by a group of musicians to pay tribute to the Santana band.  The original idea was to accurately reproduce the music, staying as close to the original arrangements as possible while spreading the joy of Santana's music to new and old fans alike.  This vision continues today with an impressive collection of Santana's songs in the band's repertoire.
