Glen Cove Rated One of Nation's Safest Cities

Website ranks city twelfth safest in U.S.

Your chances of being the victim of a crime in Glen Cove are less than in most other cities in the country, according to a recent report.

The website NeighborhoodScout released its list of the Top 100 Safest Cities in the U.S. for cities with populations of more than 25,000 people. Glen Cove ranked 12, one spot higher than Greenwich, Conn. and one behind Sammamish, Wash.

#‎Autostrade‬ Returns to Glen Cove

The streets will be closed to thru traffic providing a venue to display your vehicle from 6 - 9pm.
A $10.00 donation per vehicle to the Glen Cove Fire Department will be collected to enter. Due to limited space we have provided a list of vehicles permitted to enter. This event has been approved by the City of Glen Cove and the Glen Cove Police Department. All restaurants, Starbucks and the ‪#‎GlenCove‬ Cinemas will be open for your enjoyment. The shows will continue EVERY OTHER Thursday :

Great American Clean-Up
RESCHEDULED TO SATURDAY, MAY 30th
Meet in the parking lot by 69 Glen St

To maintain the natural beauty of Glen Cove, the City’s Beautification Commission will host its’ annual Great American Cleanup Day on Saturday, May 30 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.  Interested residents and community groups are asked to meet at the parking lot adjacent to 69 Glen Street at 9 a.m. and contact the Glen Cove Parks & Recreation Department and Beautification Commission at adoptaspot@cityofglencoveny.org to volunteer your time. “It’s spring cleaning time in Glen Cove and we welcome the support of our city’s Beautification Commission and volunteers to  help keep Glen Cove green and clean,” said Mayor Reggie Spinello.  

The Great American Cleanup is the country’s largest community improvement program that kicks off in more than 20,000 communities each spring.  This national program engages 2 million volunteers who take action in their communities to create positive change and a lasting impact. .
