Glen Cove Rated One of Nation's Safest Cities

Website ranks city twelfth safest in U.S.

Your chances of being the victim of a crime in Glen Cove are less than in most other cities in the country, according to a recent report.

The website NeighborhoodScout released its list of the Top 100 Safest Cities in the U.S. for cities with populations of more than 25,000 people. Glen Cove ranked 12, one spot higher than Greenwich, Conn. and one behind Sammamish, Wash.

GLEN COVE SENIOR RECOGNITION DAY IS MAY 10th

The City of Glen Cove will hold its annual Senior Recognition Day on May 10, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. in Village Square. Everyone is invited to this grand celebration of our senior citizens. Janina Jania will be receiving the Volunteer of the Year award and Carolyn Willson will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement award.
There will be an opportunity for everyone to visit a wide variety of vendors who will be offering informational and educational services as well as accessories for purchase. The Les Stanco Group will be on hand for musical entertainment and the wonderful Golden Voices Chorale will sing timeless tunes.

City of Glen Cove Annual Easter Egg Hunt April 16th 11 AM 676-3766
Mayor Reginald Spinello would like all Glen Cove’s young egg hunters and their parents to mark their calendar on April 16 for the annual City of Glen Cove egg hunt. The egg hunt will be held at 11 a.m. sharp at City Stadium on Morris Avenue. It is open to Glen Cove children, ages 3 to 10 years old. Don’t be late on this very important date because a famous, floppy-eared guest will be present to greet all the children.

We will inform of the Cinemas’ new date for a ribbon cutting as soon as we are advised.
