Ed Mangano forms Economic Recovery Task Force
Background
Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano launched an Economic Recovery Task Force immediately following Hurricane Sandy to focus on the micro and macro economic issues resulting from the storm. The Task Force includes private and public sector leaders and business experts.
The Task Force’s goal is to provide clear and effective communication and assistance to businesses affected by Hurricane Sandy. Businesses are encouraged to contact the Task Force and an economic development first responder will respond within 24 hours.

- Sales and Use Tax Exemptions*

*The Task Force, through the Nassau County Industrial Development Agency (NCIDA), is able to offer financial assistance in the form of sales-tax exemptions through the NCIDA of up to $99,000 for businesses with fewer than 100 employees to be used for furniture, fixtures, equipment and materials used for reconstruction. A business must pledge to rebuild within the county.'

The Annual Glen Cove Downtown BID Halloween Parade and Festival will take place on Saturday October 26th 1:00 PM.  Join the Regency Assisted Living at noon for Scary Story Hour and refreshments.

Halloween Parade kickoff at 1 p.m. at School Street and Highland Road .  Festivities from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.: Trick or Treating, Bouncy House, Performer on Stilts, Live DJ, costume contests, fun games, pie eating contest.

"An American in Paris" Westchester Broadway Theatre
An American in Paris is a musical play inspired by the 1951 film of the same name and adapted for the stage by Christopher Wheeldon. It opened at the Palace Theatre on Broadway in April 2015, following an engagement at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris. Incorporating songs from George and Ira Gershwin, the book is by Craig Lucas. American in Paris received 12 Tony nominations, winning awards for Best Choreography, Best Orchestrations, Best Set Design and Best Lighting Design.
     Trip Includes: Bus, box breakfast, 3 course lunch, ticket to the show, water, snacks, all tips & fees.
